Most vibe coding tools are too overwhelming for learning purposes. They hide the code completely and allow you to build without seeing and feeling the process. You write a prompt and lose control. Wobvibe is a playground where the code is visible, always yours, and moving in steps small enough to actually understand.
Kids learn best when they feel safe. There are no timers, no scores, and no right answers. Nothing to unlock or collect. Just you, Copat, and a blank page waiting to become something.
Wobvibe is built using the basic idea from Copatcher, a tool I made for small and precise code changes. It prevents the AI from running amok and make changes nobody asked for. This makes Wobvibe perfect for play, small projects, and kids who perform best without pressure. Neurodiverse kids are very welcome welcome too.
Wobvibe won't make a billion-dollar app (probably) but it will make home pages, small games, and everything in between. The code is written in HTML which is the versatile language behind every website on the web. Save the file and it runs directly in your browser.
Wobvibe only moves in small steps. The user describes every step and Copat helps along the way. Changes happen as patches that become visible for the user:
What was changed is always easy to follow.
Even though Wobvibe uses a patch-based approach that keeps changes small and controlled, things can sometimes go wrong. Patches may miss or show up in the conversation. Copat may misunderstand the user's intention and so on. This is AI-assisted coding and things can go wrong. That's part of the process and part of vibe coding.
Sometimes these mistakes can be annoying and sometimes they bring out a smile. Copat will soon be back on track as it sees the code every step of the way.
Where the conversation with Copat happens. Instructions are given here, and the code comes to life in a small live preview window.
Where the code lives and breathes. All lines are visible and editable. The console, patches, and up to 8 earlier versions via the KID-GIT system are all here.
